Yet again kept waiting by Dentist this time 25 minutes. Not good enough when you work to appointment times too and need to get back to work! Needless to say had to take another appointment for next month, not impressed at all . Wonder how long he'll take then!
More interested in getting through as many patients as possible quick 5-10 min appointments each time. When I was unhappy with some dental work I spoke to the dentist about it.. this was his reply.. ."you had that done on the NHS, do you know what that treatment would have cost you if you had to pay" does he even know how that made me feel..More to the point, did he even care.
I have a very good dentist Fraser Tait good at his job all staff are nice only thing don't like the thought of bupa taking over practice .
Not a dental practice but a money trap. Today I was charged 20 pounds just for talking to dentist. Dentist literally did nothing for 15 minutes (apart from x-ray which I did pay separately) and after 5 minutes of talk, I was asked to pay 20 pounds for that. I cannot explain it in any way other than racism since he was aware of my nationality. I was literally fooled ! If you do not know how to spend your money come and talk to Dr Duncan Weir and within 5 minutes 20 pounds will be gone (and definitely let him know your nationality if you are a foreigner).
I've been with the practice for nearly 40 years, long before it became Ivy Dental. Whilst you get used to a Dentist, I do find the staff friendly and knowledgeable within Ivy Dental. The reason why I haven't given 5 stars here is due to the reception area. The reception area is in beside the patient waiting area. From a confidentiality point of view when patients are speaking to reception staff, you can hear information being exchanged. It would have been great if the reception area was left in its original place.
